• Randy Schmeling

    Randy Schmeling worships at the Altar of Rock. Though he has never been a roadie, never trashed a hotel room, and never flown on the wings of a demon, he is willing to try all three. His stage credits include; With Theatre Latte Da: "Passage of Dreams", "A Christmas Carole Petersen", "Parade", "Gypsy", and "Floyd Collins." With Torch Theater: "The Miracle Worker" and "Macbeth." With Ordway Center: "The Rocky Horror Show." With The History Theatre: "Orphan Train", "Hiding in the Open", "Axel and His Dog" and "The Christmas Schooner." With Chanhassen Dinner Theatres: "Hair", "Beauty and the Beast", and "West Side Story." He has appeared in local and national voice overs as well as local films. A Gustavus Adolphus graduate , he currently resides in South Minneapolis.

  • Katy Hays

    Katy has wanted to be a part of "Power Balladz" since she saw it in development at The Bryant Lake Bowl. She has been preparing for this role since 1985. Katy was most recently seen at The Guthrie in "Warm Beer Cold Women: A Tribute To Tom Waits". She has also worked with Hey City Theater (Beehive and Tony & Tina’s Wedding), Theater Latte Da (Oh &*$#! I’m Turning Into My Mother), SCVST (Side by Side by Sondheim), and Troupe America (Schoolhouse Rock).

    Katy has also prostituted herself by impersonating Janis Joplin for different events. You can see Katy performing with "The Pizazz Band" anywhere there may be a wedding, holiday party, corporate event, or dog and pony show and "Blazin' Saddles" at various Northeast Minneapolis drinking establishments. Katy spends most of her time teaching these days. She teaches music classes for Pratt Elementary School and Marcy Open School in Minneapolis. Katy is married to local actor Beau Hays and they have two beautiful children, Joey (14) and Vivian (6).

  • Dieter Bierbrauer

    Dieter Bierbrauer has been seen in many theaters around town for one reason or another. Just finishing a stint at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Dieter has also worked with the Guthrie, Theater Latte Da, Theatre de la Juene Lune, CTC, Ordway, Pantages, Illusion, Vocal Essence, and the Minnesota Orchestra. Dieter has studied vocal music all his life ranging from opera to rock, and now gets to swim in the lusciousness that is the Power Ballads he grew up on. All the years spent idolizing Steve Perry, Gene Simons and Paul Stanley, Foreigner, Styx, Guns n’ Roses, and at the time a young and emerging Sebastian Bach are finally going to pay off.
